Privacy Policy
Scope and precedence
This policy applies to WrenFoundry websites and to software, browser extensions, mobile apps, platform plugins, and other services owned or operated by WrenFoundry or a business it controls (together, “WrenFoundry Services”). It is the privacy policy for every WrenFoundry Service that does not publish a separate privacy notice. A product notice controls where it gives different information for that product. DueFiles publishes its own privacy notice.
Who handles the information
WrenFoundry handles information used to operate its websites, accounts, products, communications, and business relationships. A customer controls the records and content it places in a business workspace; WrenFoundry processes that content to provide the service under the customer agreement and Data Processing Addendum. Information we handle
Visits and devices. Hosting and security systems process IP address, requested URL, date and time, browser and device details, error information, and security events. Apps also process device and platform identifiers used for installation, authentication, licensing, and operation.
Accounts and transactions. Account products process names, work contact details, organization, role, settings, authentication and activity records, subscription status, and transaction records. Payment providers process payment credentials; WrenFoundry receives transaction status and billing records.
Content and permissions. A feature that captures a page, inspects a site, saves a highlight, stores a file, or connects to a platform processes the content, URL, selected text, image, document, or platform data required to perform that feature. Browser and device permissions are used for the function presented in the product. Content kept in local extension storage remains on the device until you export it, use a connected feature, or share it.
Communications. We receive the sender details and content of support, sales, security, accessibility, privacy, and other messages sent to us.
Where it comes from
Information comes from you, the organization that invites you to a Service, the device or browser running it, connected platforms you authorize, payment providers, and records created by your use of a product.
Browser tools
Page capture creates images and PDFs on the device. Style inspection processes page design details in the browser. Research highlights stores selected passages and notes in the browser’s local library. These tools do not send captured page content, inspection results, or saved highlights to WrenFoundry servers. Exported files go to the destination you choose. Information received from Chrome APIs is used in accordance with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
How we use information
We use information to provide the requested feature, administer accounts and purchases, authenticate access, deliver notices, answer requests, troubleshoot, secure the service, prevent abuse, enforce agreements, and comply with law. We use product content to deliver that product, not to build advertising profiles. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Where a legal basis is required, contract performance supports service delivery; legitimate interests support security, support, and business operations; legal obligations support required records; and consent supports optional processing that requires it. You can withdraw consent for future processing through the product control or by contacting privacy@wrenfoundry.com.
Who receives information
Personnel and controlled businesses receive information needed to operate and support the relevant Service. Contracted providers handle hosting, communications, storage, authentication, payments, and other functions listed on the service providers page or the product’s own provider page. We also disclose information to a customer that controls a workspace, at your direction, to professional advisers under confidentiality duties, in a business transfer subject to applicable law, and when a lawful request or the protection of rights and safety requires it.
For the WrenFoundry corporate website, Vercel delivers the pages and handles technical requests; AgentMail handles messages sent to WrenFoundry inboxes. This site has no user account, checkout, upload form, advertising pixel, session replay, or site-owned analytics script.
Storage and retention
Account and customer content remains for the service term and the deletion period in the applicable agreement. Local extension content remains under the user’s browser controls. We keep transaction, security, and correspondence records for the period required to complete the transaction, resolve the request, protect the service, meet a legal duty, or resolve a dispute. When the applicable period ends, we delete or de-identify the information. Backups expire on their normal rotation.
Your rights and choices
Send privacy@wrenfoundry.com a request to access, correct, export, or delete information, or to exercise an applicable objection, restriction, opt-out, or appeal right. We verify identity and authority before disclosing or deleting information. A customer controls requests about records in its workspace; we assist that customer under its agreement. You can also complain to the privacy regulator with authority over your information. We do not discriminate against people who exercise privacy rights.
International processing
WrenFoundry and its providers process information in the locations where they operate. Restricted transfers use the transfer mechanism required by applicable law. Request transfer information from privacy@wrenfoundry.com.
Children
WrenFoundry Services are business and productivity tools for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from a child for the child’s own use. Contact privacy@wrenfoundry.com to report information submitted by a child.
Changes and contact
We post revisions with a new effective date and give additional notice or seek consent when law requires it. This page remains the default notice for covered Services until a product publishes a separate notice. Questions and requests: privacy@wrenfoundry.com.
